My name is Paul McClellan. From 1976 to 2010 I developed modeling, computational, and imaging software in the instrument, computing, robotic, display, and printing industries.
Since 2010 I have been an independent software developer, focused on developing Microsoft Excel XLL Add-Ins that extend the computational capabilities of Microsoft Excel on the Microsoft Windows Platform. Here I describe and share these Add-Ins. I hope you find them of use.
My Computational Software Development Principles
I develop my software using these development principles:
- Reliability – I use peer-reviewed open source and public domain computational libraries with documented algorithms and error estimates.
- Clarity – I define the computational interfaces over logical and consistent domains providing clarity in the use of the product.
- Accuracy – I strive to make the computations as accurate as possible across all suitable inputs.
